DEFINITIONS
* Integrated circuit data contain only monolithic integrated circuits. Included
are sensors, actuators and silicon based optoelectronic devices which are produced with IC related processes, and SAW and BAW filters.
* Discrete semiconductor data include diodes, small signal transistors and power transistors, rectifiers,
thyristors and other discrete devices.
* Capacity is defined as the maximum level of wafer starts which can be expected under normal operating conditions.
* Capacity data are reported as wafer starts per week averaged over the reporting period for a 7 day week
with 24 hours per day, 52 weeks per year.
* Utilisation data are reported as actual wafer starts per week averaged
over the reporting period, excluding wafer starts by subcontractors and
excluding test wafers.
